Canandaigua Lake Charette
CANANDAIGUA LAKE CHARETTE
RIT’s School of Design was asked to support a high profile local economic development project whereby students would generate conceptual ideas for a destination experience in a lakefront resort area. The goal was to design a proposal that curates an exceptional and unique community experience for travelers, regional visitors, and residents.
Over the course of an intensive weekend 16 students, nominated by faculty, from interior design, industrial design, graphic design, new media design, 3-D digital design and visual communication design participated in a charrette with the goal of proposing a diverse, culturally rich program to enhance user experience. The student team was mentored by Associate Professor Mary Golden, Professor Lorrie Frear, Lecturer Isabella Trindade, and Associate Professor Gary Jacobs.
